We’ll help create a memorable party for your birthday this year! With eco-fun themes that pique curiosity, you’re sure to find fun naturally at the Urban Ecology Center.

Your Birthday Party will include:

A 75-90 minute, educator led program for up to 15 people with the theme of your choice
A private rental space for 4-hours (with the option to add on more time!) Room capacity: 20 total (adults/children combined)
Eco-friendly plates, bowls, cups, & silverware and tablecloth provided (set up/clean up included!)
Fun earth-friendly birthday party decorations ready to go when you get there
Free parking (Riverside) and access to award-winning buildings, indoor slides, animal rooms & trails!

Party Timeline

9am - 9:30am - Arrive & Set up
9:30am - Guests Arrive
9:45 - 11am - Program for a Nature Themed party
9:45 - 11:15am - Program for an Urban Adventure party
11am - 12:30pm - Space Usage (food, cake, gifts)
12:30 - 1pm - Clean up & Out

Seasonal Nature Hike

(ages 5 and above) Let our education staff plan an experience based on the season and natural happenings at the UEC, which may include a scavenger hunt, sensory hike or visit to our animal room.

(ages 5 & above) Observe how animals use their habitats and explore outdoors to create cozy spaces that they call home.

(ages 5 & above) Arts and crafts for all ages! This program includes a variety of activities, including leaf impressions, snowflake crafts, painting with stones, and much more.

Urban Adventure Parties

Fishing

(available April to November, ages 6 & above at Menomonee Valley and Washington Park) Learn how to catch “the big one!” Venture outside for guided fishing! We provide the poles and the bait.
