Our goal in this online Intensive is for you to be empowered to do the work needed in your community.

If you are just getting started and feel like you are going it alone, it is time to engage with a larger network with expertise and resources to put you on a path to success.

You might already be experiences the successes and ongoing challenges of providing environmental education and nature encounters. If you are farther down this path, you are ready to see up close how the Urban Ecology Center continues to evolve in order to meet the emerging needs of neighbors in our dynamic world. Make a commitment to developing your programs within a more resilient and responsive organization by signing up now!

You can also assemble a team that brings together people where you live. Include the creative problem solvers, community leaders, program directors, and educators. Reach across the public, private, and non-profit sectors.

We welcome all who are committed to educating and inspiring youth, revitalizing urban green spaces and waterways, and are seeking solutions to renew disinvested neighborhoods. When these teams that have been working on the same local issues share their experiences together with others from different places, you will start to see the real transformation emerge. We are sharing best practices for running a successful, growing non-profit organization. While our focus is urban, our model becomes relevant for nature centers and groups in all sorts of communities.

Whether you are serving children, running intergenerational programs, focusing on education and community building in agricultural organizations, or envisioning new university programs, this is a roots-and-stems, hands-on practical workshop that will be useful for you.
