What We Do

Reserve your equipment!

With the safety of our members and staff in mind, we have developed a COVID conscious equipment lending option for Winter 2020.

Cross country skis, sleds, and snowshoes will be available for pickup. (Plus ice skates at WP!)

To ensure that all members have an opportunity to borrow, we are asking members to limit reservations to once a month. Thanks for your cooperation!

New this year: call to ask us about borrowing snow sculpting kits, thanks to a partnership with the Milwaukee Art Museum

How does Covid-conscious lending work?

  1. Become a member. (Join online by clicking here!)
  2. Reserve your equipment and sign your waiver online. (Click here to download instructions. Questions about making a reservation? Contact us at (414) 626-8278 or (414) 626-8454.)
  3. You will receive a confirmation email with pick up instructions. Masks are required for all onsite loading, pick up or drop off.. Please be conscious of socially distancing if others are around.
  4. Go have fun and enjoy the equipment!
  5. Bring the equipment back to the same location you picked up at your scheduled drop off time and day, making sure it's in the same condition it was when you borrowed it.
  6. Repeat. ;-)

Reserve your equipment online

Here are some tips for success:

Reserve online ahead of time! Our winter items are popular and equipment goes fast – make sure you are reserving online ahead of time.

Check equipment status. Check to make sure you have everything you need and that the equipment is in good working order before you leave the Center.

Ask for advice! Need advice on where to go or how to use the equipment? Contact us at one of the phone numbers or emails above, or check out this list of recommendations from Environmental Educator Chad Thomack and our specific pages for skis and snowshoes.
