Milwaz Talleres: Community Music Workshop

Join Milwaz Talleres to learn about the tradition of Son Jarocho, originating in Veracruz, MX. Workshops focus on learning how to play the jarana, dance zapateado, and on verse composition. Many of the traditional sones (songs) are about life in rural Mexico and incorporate natural elements. We welcome beginners and encourage those not native to the tradition to enter the space with respect and humility. Before attending for the first time, please contact Lucero at
