Our new Director of Education, Meghan Schopp!

We are happy to announce that Meghan Schopp will be joining us as our Director of Education, starting on Monday, December 13th.

Meghan will be coming from the Milwaukee Public Museum, where she leads program development, builds community partnerships, and helps guide strategic planning while managing an interdisciplinary team that delivers innovative programming for children, families, and lifelong learners.

At Milwaukee Public Museum, Meghan established the Museum’s first Community Advisory Council with 50 community leaders, guided the redesign of summer programming to improve partnerships with local community centers, and led the creation of a statewide outreach program to serve students and communities throughout Wisconsin.

Meghan is currently an Advisory Board Member at the Ability Center, an organization providing inclusive recreational opportunities for people with all abilities. She was also recently selected as a participant in Forward 48, our region's premier leadership development program.

Prior to joining Milwaukee Public Museum Meghan was Director of Adult Day Services for Curative Care Network, the MARQ Your Path Program Coordinator at Marquette University, and the Project SEARCH Program Director & Lead Employment Consultant for Creative Employment Opportunities, Inc.

Meghan has a B.A. in Sociology from Fordham University, an M.S. in Education from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, and a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Sector Administration from Marquette University.

Meghan brings a love of learning, deep program development and community engagement experience, and a commitment to opening up the magic of our urban natural world to everyone in our community.

Please join us in extending a warm Urban Ecology Center welcome to Meghan Schopp!
