Join Us for the 3rd Annual HKE MKE!

HKE MKE registration is now open! Join us on Sunday, September 17th for the Urban Ecology Center’s 3rd annual HKE MKE. Enjoy a beautiful 2.5 mile family-friendly hike through the Milwaukee Rotary Centennial Arboretum and along the Milwaukee River. Funds raised by participants help to preserve amazing urban natural areas and support the Center's mission of connecting people to nature.

You can take the stroll solo or rally 'round a team and work together towards a shared goal. To encourage a little friendly competition, we're lining up some special fundraising incentives (like our cool new UEC tote bags below)!

    • Manage over 50 acres of native habitat in three Milwaukee parks
    • Study the health of wildlife populations in Milwaukee including, turtles, frogs, mammals, invertebrates, snakes and bats
    • Connect residents to local waterways through canoeing, kayaking and fishing activities
