Monday evening to mid-day Friday

Milwaukee, Wisconsin

March 1 - May 15, 2018

The Urban Ecology Center offers 20+ years of experience in neighborhood transformation, which we are thrilled to share in this four-day intensive. More engaging than a seminar, more interactive than a workshop, only a little more serious than summer camp, this intensive is quite simply, more! In just four days, we will cover four intersecting themes of transforming kids, parks, cities, and the world.

Who Should Attend

Creative problem solvers, city leaders, and educators -- from the public, private or non-profit sectors -- who are committed to educating and inspiring youth, revitalizing urban green space, or are seeking solutions to renew disinvested neighborhoods.

Cohort size is limited to increase individual attention

Outcomes of the 4-day Intensive

  • Thorough understanding of the Urban Ecology Center model
  • Tools to help you reflect meaningfully on how the model can benefit your city/project
  • Opportunities for personal growth in multiple areas, applicable to a range of projects
  • Expanded network and ongoing support from other community leaders

In sessions taught by leading members of the Urban Ecology Center’s path-breaking staff, you will learn how urban environmental education forms the core of this transformational process.

The model established and refined here is not a one-size-fits-all means of reshaping your city, but rather a process of exploring possibilities and building partnerships around a shared (and powerful) vision of ecologically restored urban spaces.

We work alongside you to recognize the potential in your own community.

We provide guidance and incentives for partners to join you in your journey to create the Urban Ecology Center you need in your own backyard.

After four intensive days and nights, you will be ready to take the next steps in transforming your city, and the world.
