PEEP - Nature-based Early Childhood Experiences

The Urban Ecology Center offers year-round, nature-based early childhood experiences to families, childcare centers, preschools and shared intergenerational facilities though the PEEP program. The Preschool Environmental Education Project (PEEP) provides a wide range of customized educational options centered around the nature in our neighborhoods. Childcare providers and early childhood educators can choose experiences based on what developmental and learning goals they have for their children:

PEEP partnerships range from one-time guided visits to our outdoor classrooms and natural play areas to multi-visit experiences with a blend indoor and outdoor activities over the course of a year.

PEEP staff specialize in leading programs for children aged 1 – 6 years old, children with a wide range of special needs and older adults through shared intergenerational facilities.

PEEP programs contain fun, movement-based activities aligned with state and national early learning standards.

PEEP positive educational techniques help guide young children through early developmental stages while introducing them to their life-long relationship with nature!
