“I’m free right now! When can I volunteer?”
If you are looking to volunteer once, or are interested in squeezing occasional volunteering into an already busy or irregular schedule, we invite you to be a part of staff-led group volunteer projects. No prior experience is needed for these activities, you will be instructed by and learn from knowledgeable Urban Ecology Center staff.

“I’m required to complete service hours. Can I complete them at the Urban Ecology Center?”
Many schools require students to complete service hours as a graduation requirement or as part of the school curriculum. The court system often assigns community service as well. If you have service hours to complete, you may be able to complete them at the Center. Call our Volunteer Coordinator to discuss your requirements at (414) 964-8505.
“I am interested in making a significant contribution to the Urban Ecology Center. How do I get connected to volunteering on a regular basis?”
Interested in helping with the Urban Ecology Center’s educational or recreational programming? Curious about being a part of the Center’s conservation and restoration efforts? Excited about contributing in an administrative capacity? If you have a morning, afternoon or full day free on a weekly or monthly basis, there may be a regular volunteer opportunity that is a great fit for you. If you have a particular skill or talent that you are looking to share, the perfect project might be waiting for you at the Center.
Come to a Volunteer Orientation to meet our Volunteer Coordinator and talk about your interest. Check our Events Calendar for the next upcoming occurrence.
