Urban Ecology Center Summer Camps

Urban Ecology Center Summer Camps are a terrific way for your child to explore the outdoors this summer! As they explore the natural world together, campers gain outdoor skills and ecological intelligence. By learning about science and art through fun, outdoor activities, campers will be better prepared for the school year.

Oh, and they'll have tons of fun making new friends as they rock climb, do science experiments, create art projects, canoe, enjoy the beaches of Lake Michigan.

The Urban Ecology Center has an award winning, professional, environmental education staff who teach students in grades K4-12 through our school year Neighborhood Environmental Education Project. These same educators are ready to engage your kids in topics and activities that will encourage curiosity and discovery. With one staff per 6 campers, your child is assured a personal, inclusive experience at camp.

Research shows that two things make a person environmentally aware: consistent contact with nature early in life and an adult mentor (parent, teacher, friend, Urban Ecology Center educator) who demonstrates positive behavior toward the environment. Think of summer camp as the first step toward a greener future.
