Experience the fun of an overnight adventure!
Enjoy healthy outdoor fun with kids from all over the city.
Build science and engineering skills to be better prepared for the school year.
Plant a garden and watch it grow throughout the summer!
Wade in or paddle along waterways, fish and enjoy the beaches of Lake Michigan.
Foster a deep connection to nature through fun, hands-on adventures!
We have an energetic, professional environmental education staff who teach students throughout the school year. These educators are ready to engage your kids in topics and activities that will encourage curiosity and discovery, developing skills for school and life.
How to Register
Online registrations receive priority enrollment.
You will need an email address and your child’s current health information. If the online registration indicates that a camp is full, you can put your child on the waiting list or choose a different session. Please note, that any reference to your child’s “Grade” is referring to the grade completed by June 2017.
We use ActiveNetwork as our online registration system. During the registration process, you will be asked to create an account. Creating a user account allows you to save registration receipts, check out faster and is a great time saver if you are signing up for more than one session of camp.

Important Registration Information
- Our summer camp schedule is June 26-August 25, with a couple of exceptions. We have one camp at Washington Park which runs June 19-23, and one camp at Riverside Park that runs June 24-28.
- Your child’s spot will be reserved on a first come, first served basis once the registration is completed and payment or scholarship information are received.
- Urban Ecology Center members receive a discount on Summer Camp fees! Check your mailing label to see if your membership is current. If it isn’t, feel free to renew your membership on your registration form.
We have camps at all three branches. Choose a camp that’s closest to home or work, or explore another side of town! Check the session names to determine the location of each camp.
Thanks to our generous donors, we are able to offer need-based scholarships for children to attend camp. Scholarships include a one-year family membership. To qualify, families must complete the necessary scholarship application prior to registering a child for a camp.
For more information call Kirstin Anglea at (414) 964- 8505, x125. Scholarship priority is given to students attending our 2015-2016 Neighborhood Environmental Education Project partner schools.
