Every day of the week, and most evenings, the Urban Ecology Center hums with activity: Citizen Scientists assist the Center Research Coordinator with bird banding; families gather around the fire on Friday evenings for songs and poetry; visitors and funders receive guided tours of the remarkable “green building;” high school students weed the demonstration gardens they’ve planted along the bike path. Hundreds of people, of all ages, make the Center’s energy and mission a reality.

Benefits of Urban Ecology Center Membership

As a member of the Urban Ecology Center:

· You help urban children get outside and get in touch with butturflies and frogs!

· You receive access to resources and workshops about green living.

· You're in the know. You have a one-year subscription to our newsletter filled with programs and articles that challenge your thinking about our environment. You also get email announcements of spontaneous happenings, e.g. meteor showers, bird sightings, members only events, etc.

· You get to borrow our stuff through our members only Equipment Lending Program.

· You're invited to three great celebrations every year: Earth Day, Fall Festival and Winterfest.

· You can explore the world. Take one of our Adventure Travel trips to an exciting natural destination. (see page 11 for details).

Please note: The Ecology Center does not issue membership cards. Discounts are given on the honor system.
