Grant Writer

The primary goal of this part-time, year-round position is to augment the capacity of the Development and Marketing Department. Primary responsibilities include preparation of grant proposals and application and performance of administrative work in researching, identifying, developing and responding to public and private grant opportunities.

This position works 22-28 hours per week. Work is performed under the direction of the Grant Manager with the majority of the work performed independently.

The successful candidate will be able to craft funding proposals in a clear and compelling manner. Excellent writing, analytical, and research skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly-organized, and have experience using online databases and other sources to locate biographical, financial, and philanthropic information. 

A Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience are required. Pay begins at $14.70 an hour.
